Starring:  MC Barry Dodds, Louise Young plus headliners tbc

Sat 06 JUL
SALTBURN COMMUNITY THEATRE

Tickets: £10.00 (early bird) / £12.50
from the theatre on 01287 624997, SPAR Gosnays Milton St
Doors: 6:45pm / Show: 7:30pm / 18+

Our MC tonight is self-confessed comedy geek, Barry Dodds.  Barry took to the comedy stage at the tender age of 21 and soon had audiences eating out of the palm of his hand. Using his own contrasting combination of irrepressibly cheeky and surprisingly dark material, he quickly found himself taking the national circuit by storm. Finalist in various high profile competitions such as Jimmy Carr’s Comedy Idol and Jongleurs Last Laugh Comedy Search, his twinkly eyed, playful demeanour disarms judging panels, industry experts and audiences alike, allowing him flirt coquettishly with topics that are traditionally a little more controversial.

A talented storyteller using whimsical imagery and evocative observations, Barry is an assured closing act, with regular bookings at many of the UK’s top comedy clubs including The Stand, XS Malarkey and The Frog and Bucket. His comedy has even taken him to far flung climbs such as Luxembourg, where his solo show proved so popular he became the first ever comedian to perform on Luxembourg TV.

“One of comedy’s original thinkers” Dominic Holland

Our comedian in the middle is Louise Young.

Sat 27 JUL
Stokesley Town Hall

Tickets: £15.00 (Bring Your Own Bottle)
from Stokesley Town Hall & Browns Newsagents
Doors: 7:30pm / Show: 8:15pm / 18+

Be ready for pretty much anything when our MC Jason Cook takes to the stage. Behind his cheerful Geordie exterior lurks a dark, sharp comedic mind capable of taking an unsuspecting audience to places they didn’t want to go. Jason has a way of presenting true-to-life stories that drag you in and won’t let go, close to the edge but always intriguing and blessed with the sort of charm that’ll have you laughing in spite of yourself.

“the best MC this side of anywhere…. Geordie genius” Tim Arthur, Time Out, London

Gary Meikle is known for his story telling abilities and his style is dark yet not offensive focusing on classic topics such as growing up in Glasgow and past (failed) relationships and touches on some lesser covered topics such as his disdain for children.

MC Hammersmith (aka Will Naameh, the skinny posh one from Men With Coconuts, Spontaneous Sherlock and Spontaneous Potter) is an award-winning, freestyle rap improvisational comedian.

He is the world’s leading freestyle rapper to ever emerge from the ghetto of middle class white west London.  Now based in Edinburgh, Scotland, he is the 2018 Scottish Comedy Award Best Newcomer, and the 2017 UK Improv Smackdown Champion.

Unbelievably funny, totally improvised hip-hop comedy.

"The funniest rapper in the world!" Culross Fest
